WORKPLACE VIOLENCE
Today’s crime prevention practitioner has many responsibilities, including the need to address the increasing incidents of workplace violence. In today’s world of corporate liability and employee relations, there are many concerns involving threat identification, predicting incidents, disgruntled employees and preventive actions. Attendees will be able to return to their community with a greater knowledge and understanding of workplace violence and preventive measures that can be implemented.
Topics to be covered include: Review Past Incidents: Publicized and some not so well known incidents; Threat Identification: What is a threat and What should employees know; Predicting Violence: Warning Signs - Identifying the suspects and causes; Dealing with the disgruntled employee / customer and management actions; Preventive Actions for the Employer: Proactive efforts that can be taken.
Training Cost:
$85 OCPA Member; $100 Non-member or $145 for training and OCPA membership.
Trainings will be held from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm
