Look around, can you see or sense it, can you feel its evil as it has grown and continues to grow into the most destructive and devastating crime of the millennium. No you can’t see Identity Theft, for it’s anonymously hidden in a cloak of deception, sneaking and pouncing upon the unwary. Those not taking the proper protective measures are but only waiting their turns. Over 10 million people at a cost of over 50 millions dollars are lost to Identity Theft annually. There is absolutely no guarantee against this crime, for WE ALL are vulnerable to it. Frankly, personal information is carelessly handled and strewn around the nation and globe with little, if any safeguards. We as a crime prevention practitioner / law enforcement MUST know how to instruct citizens / businesses on how to at least minimize their risks. People are loosing their jobs, denied employment, denied health care, unable to settle estates, denied social assistance and being wrongfully arrested because of Identity Theft. Identity Theft has evolved and enables numerous types of criminal activity.
This training course is designed so that you can develop an Identity Theft program for your community. Training Costs:
$85 OCPA Member; $100 Non-member or $145 for training and OCPA membership.
Training will be held from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
Training Dates and Locations:
