NEEDS ASSESSMENT & SECURITY SURVEYS


A Security Survey has been defined as the “backbone” of local crime prevention programs and as such, it combines the security experience, training and education of the local police officer in crime prevention and focuses it on a single element – the analysis of a physical facility.  The method by which a survey is conducted has developed into a standardized process which includes the collection of facts, or data, the identification of crimes risks, and the recommendation of measures to reduce or eliminate those risks.  Topics to Be Covered:  ▪ Understanding Crime Resistance ▪ Principles of Security Surveying ▪ the Security Survey Report ▪ Helpful Surveying Hints ▪ Principles of Physical Security 
▪ Locks ▪ Guidelines for Better Security Surveys ▪ Security Hardware     ▪ Safes Overview. 

Training Cost: 
$85 OCPA Member; $100 Non Member or $145 for training and OCPA membership.  Training will be held from 8:00 am to 5:00 pm.
  

Training Dates and Locations:          
Dates will be announced in the near future.   Trainings will be held in the Cleveland, Columbus and Cincinnati area.
