CHURCH SECURITY

Violence in places of worship is on the rise and church security poses a special challenge to most places of worship for various reasons. Most do not want to employ visible security measures that other buildings might use, such as gates, metal detectors, guards and other measures. Church leaders, staff and volunteers are also not well trained and ill prepared to handle security issues.

This training will address the following topics: Developing a Security Conscious Mind Set - Assessment of Internal and External Church Risk Factors - Role of Physical and Electronic Security - Church Security Assessments and Surveys - Elements and Components of a Church Security Plan - Establishing Effective Church Security Policies and Procedures - Financial Management Policies - Crisis Response Planning - Property Inventory Policies and Procedures - Media Crises Management Planning - Crime Prevention Education and Awareness for Staff and Volunteers - Minister Safety and Integrity.
