Guidelines and Sample Floor Plan for H.B. 422

For an example of a school safety plan CLICK HERE

School Floor Plans should follow the following guidelines:

  1. Plans should be typed; no shading, minimal or no handwriting
  2. Plans should be submitted on white paper only, 11” x 14” or smaller
  3. A key should be included to define the symbols used
  4. Directions should be clearly noted
  5. Building entrances/exits should be clearly marked and numbered
  6. The location of water and electrical shutoffs should be noted
  7. Each floor should be on a separate page
  8. The school name, IRN# and address should be on each page
