WDTN-TV2 in Dayton/Miami Valley

 

WDTN-TV2 in Dayton is a key partner in Miami Valley Crime Stoppers.  WDTN, which is an NBC affiliate, hosts Crime Stoppers segments during their newscasts. 

 

Since its inception in 1984, Miami Valley Crime Stoppers has helped solve or clear more than 2,000 crimes, recover more than $2 million in narcotics and stolen property, and paid out more than $218,500 in cash rewards. 

 

In 2006, Miami Valley Crime Prevention Association partnered with WDTN to produce short segments on preventing crime.  These segments are aired during the Crime Stoppers show.  They also produce a half-hour show on the weekends and various other segments that air during evening newscasts, which often feature members of the Miami Valley Crime Prevention Association.  MDTN has also joined forces with the Miami Valley Crime Prevention Association to market crime prevention programs and information. 

 

Thanks to WDTN-TV2, Miami Valley residents are being educated about crime prevention and are being empowered to take a stand against criminals.  OCPA is pleased to recognize WDTN with honorable mention in the Media Category.
